Please join us for our next meeting to discuss the role of music in/for film with Prof. Jacqueline Waeber (Duke). In preparation for the discussion Jacqueline has suggested an essay by Ben Winters on film, music and narrative space. You can find the reading here: Winters, Film Music and Narrative Space
As always, we will be meeting at 6:30pm at Duke’s Franklin Humanities Institute Warehouse, Entrance Bay 4, Room C107 (see link for map). http://g.co/maps/trm83
Following our meeting, there will be a screening and a discussion on a related film in the same building, also organized by Jacqueline (see below). All TFS members are welcome to attend! Since the screening has to start around 7:30pm, I would ask you to try and come on time–we will jump right in at 6:30.
